Next Meeting Thursday, September 13th

Next meeting is Thursday, September 13th, 7 PM at Devry, sponsored by Veredus.

Jason and I just got back from RailsEdge last weekend, and we’ll be presenting two topics that you won’t want to miss.

September 13th meeting

• Gregg Pollack – “How I learned to love testing” An introduction to TDD, BDD, and RSpec.
• Jason Seifer – “Ruby on Rails best practices” Learn all of the design tips and tricks of the Rails masters.

We’ve got alot to look forward two in the next 2 months:

October 18th meeting

• Mike Blake – Introduction to Ruby Metaprogramming
• Anthony Eden – How to design your own Domain Specific Language (DSL)

November 8th meeting

• Damien McKenna – Rails Radient CMS (Content Management System)
• Billy Watson – Mass Mailing with Rails – How to use the MailQueue plugin, ActionMailer, and coordinating the sending of emails with controller actions and rake scripts.
