Next Meeting – Thursday, June 21st

The next meeting will be Thursday, June 21st, 7 PM at Devry.

Robert Dempsey and Mike Blake will be presenting together on JRuby. One of the hotter topics of this years Railsconf was JRuby and the performance boost it brings to ruby. If you’re a Java programmer it’s also a great way to jump into Rails and still utilize all your Java Libraries.

Big Rails companies like Joyent are now hosting all their high bandwidth websites on Sun boxes using JRuby, and seeing significant performance improvements.
